The Partisch Process: Introduction
This hands-on class is where we get started (2 days)
This class is based in part on craniosacral therapy (CST) and how to begin the conversation that allows healing to happen. By the end of the class, you will have learned a full body evaluation and treatment process to facilitate the locating and easing of dysfunction and calming the nervous system.
During this class you will —
- Develop light touch palpation skills
- Explore playing with Energy
- Learn a powerful, full body evaluation technique
- Recognize the signs of tissue release
- Create opportunities for healing with several simple, yet powerful techniques
- Utilize The Partisch Principles to enhance every session
Prerequisites: (1) Read the book, Your Inner Physician and You, by Dr John Upledger, (2) Horse handling experience and/or bodywork experience
Required book for class: Horse Anatomy; A Coloring Atlas by Kainer and McCracken
Course Price: $500
Notes: Horses are provided for this class. As a general rule, auditors not permitted.
The Partisch Process: Exploring Layers and Rhythms of the Body
Develop your palpation skills further (2 Days)
The body gives us information all the time. In this class, we learn to feel into the layers of the body. We spend more time identifying and connecting with different anatomical structures, and as we develop our palpation skills, awareness opens. We will also open up to a few of the different body rhythms and how we can use them as evaluation tools in our treatments.
Building on the techniques we learned in our previous class, we develop our listening skills. This will increase our ‘conversation’ options during our treatment time. We will explore the craniosacral rhythm, breath, heartbeat and long tide (and possibly others if time permits).
During this class you will —
- Feel some of the many rhythms in the body
- Develop increased palpation skills
- Discover Field Theory
- Learn what these rhythms can tell us
- Follow the layers of the fascia
- Create more opportunities for healing with several new techniques
Prerequisites: Completion of The Partisch Process: Introduction or permission from the instructor
Required book for class: Horse Anatomy; A Coloring Atlas by Kainer and McCracken
Course Price: $500
Notes: Horses are provided for this class. As a general rule, auditors not permitted.
The Partisch Process: Exploring the Equine Cranium and Spine
Explore the bones of the head and spine and more (2 days)
In this class, we begin to explore the many aspects of the equine cranium. We discuss structure and function of the bones of the cranium and of the hyoid. We also touch on some of the components of the brain. We discuss how their brains work, the sinuses, the glands and organs of the head, blood flow and the energy around all of this. It’s a lot of information for our brains to take in! The horse reminds us to keep it simple and ‘be’ with it. When we incorporate the Partisch Principles, developing a conversation with the equine head becomes a beautiful experience.
In the Intro class, we introduce the spine and the vertebrae. In this part of the class we go into detail about the many components of the horse’s spinal cord and surrounding components and flow from the cranium through the spine. We will explore treatment options and use the Principles to optimize function of the spinal cord and surrounding tissues.
During this class you will —
- Explore the structure and function of the equine cranium
- Assess the quality of the spine and head
- Learn about the significance of the HPA Axis
- Optimize the full body significance of the equine hyoid
- Discover why the Partisch Principals promotes healing
- Practice new techniques to allow healing in the head and spine
Prerequisites: Completion of The Partisch Process: Introduction or permission from the instructor
Required book for class: Horse Anatomy; A Coloring Atlas by Kainer and McCracken
Course Price: $500
Notes: Horses are provided for this class. As a general rule, auditors not permitted.
The Partisch Process: Practicum
Two full days of hands-on time and discussion
In this class we will put into practice our evaluation and treatment techniques. We will explore how adding in The Partisch Principles helps us be better therapists for our horses and upgrade our positive outcomes. We will have plenty of treatment opportunities each day. After each treatment time, we will do a through review. This will include researching what we were feeling during each treatment will be explored as well. And to aid in our Process we will explore my favorite learning questions: what did I do well, what was hard and what would I do different next time.
During this class you will —
- Develop the conversation of healing
- Gain confidence in evaluation and treatment abilities
- Discover ways to research different conditions
- Validate each treatment technique
- Feel how each of the Partisch Principles can enhance your treatments
Prerequisites: Completion of The Partisch Process: Introduction and at least one other Process class or permission from the instructor
Required book for class: Horse Anatomy; A Coloring Atlas by Kainer and McCracken
Course Price: $500
Notes: Horses are provided for this class. As a general rule, auditors not permitted.
